Creating a publishing job

After the BlueCielo Application Manager configuration database has been created, you can create a BlueCielo publishing job to synchronize metadata from a source system to a destination system. The publishing job specifies the source and destination of the data that Publisher synchronizes. Publishing jobs are created from job templates that are installed with various BlueCielo products.

To create a publishing job:

  1. In BlueCielo Application Manager, select BlueCielo Publisher 2012 in the configuration tree and click . The New Publisher Job wizard appears.
  2. Click Next. The Select a Job Template page appears. Depending on the other BlueCielo products that are installed, tabs are shown for each product with which the Publisher can be used.
  3. Click the tab that corresponds to the BlueCielo product for which you want to create a publishing job. The available job templates for the selected product appear.
  4. Select the job template that corresponds to the type of publishing job that you want to create. A description of the job template appears in the lower pane.
  5. Click Next. The Publishing Job Name page appears.
  6. Type a job name or accept the default and click Next. The Preview page appears, showing the job options that you have selected.
  7. Click Finish. The New Publisher Job dialog closes and the name of the new job appears in the configuration tree.
